Ability Votes Inc. is the first 501c4 nonprofit in the nation that unites people with disabilities and their allies together to secure rights, improve laws, and grow voting power to deliver an equitable and inclusive future. We empower individuals and organizations through education, fiscal sponsorship, and direct local or direct state lobbying action. We unite, and, we act!

The community of people with disabilities—along with its allies—represents a powerful and vital force for change. With over 28% of Americans living with a disability, it's essential that this group has the tools and opportunities to shape policy at the local and state levels. We focus on affecting change at the state and local levels and do not engage in federal elections or activities. Together, we can break down barriers and amplify the voices of people with disabilities where it matters most.
We are dedicated to helping individuals identify opportunities to engage in the political process and create meaningful change. We teach them where, how, and when to act. We empower individuals with disabilities to run for office. Through fiscal sponsorship, mentorship, and training, we also support groups in organizing for systemic change at the local and state levels, driving legislative and executive reforms. Below is our plan of action, how to get involved, and an invitation to connect.
